About Margaryta Yermolayeva

Margaryta Yermolayeva Hello, and let me introduce myself. I am Margaryta Yermolayeva and I was born in 1966 near Moscow, Russia .During my childhood, my family moved to Odessa, Ukraine on the shores of the Black Sea. It was during a school excursion to an art museum that I became certain that art was my path in life. I graduated from Odessa State Art School M.B. Grekova in 1985. My final exam piece titled, "The Head of the Old Man" is still displayed in the university museum today. Early in my career, I was interested in European landscapes and architecture. I began doing many gallery shows as my reputation grew. Several cathedrals commissioned me to create Russian Orthodox icons and they are still displayed today.

In 2003, I moved to America and resumed my art career here. I reside near Ann Arbor, Michigan and have a ttracted a following doing custom artwork and gallery shoes. My artwork has been used to illustrate several books including "Angel of Anarchy" by Glenn Sheldon. Heritage Candy, Inc. has used one of my pieces for advertising. I have sold my artwork around the world including Paris, Madrid, Rome, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Berlin, Moscow, Warsau, Melbourne, Dubai, Norway, Ireland, Scotland, Portugal, Sweden, Thailand, and all 50 of the United States.

I use different medias and different styles. I use Acrylics, Graphite, oils, and watercolors. I like to mix the different medias. I enjoy doing Abstract, Folk Art style landscapes. I like to dabble in the neo-surreal and fantasy style art. I lately have been doing a lot of Halloween vintage pieces. I have also focused on realism.

I invite you to browse my artwork. There is a part of me in each piece. Thank you, and please feel free to ask me any questions you have.
